Valentina Lopez
General Director
Valentina rediscovered yoga in 1999 when she moved to Boston. In her own words, she was running away from the madness of boot camp and step classes, and trying to find a physically challenging yet soothing and centering practice. And that’s how she found and fell in love with power yoga! The more she practice the more she understood that yoga was more than an exercise, but a mirror of my own life.
The first changes surfaced on the physical plane. Experiencing asthma since age 4, yoga gave her the ability to breathe freely and deeply for the first time. The next changes were at a deeper level; learning to appreciate the joy of every moment of life, specially the tough ones! And discovering that with patience, surrender and trust everything works out.
Valentina became a certified yoga instructor in 2005 through Prana Power Yoga in Newton, Massachusetts, and right after started teaching for Taylor and Philippe Wells at their studio. She taught at Prana Power Yoga for over two years, until she moved to Miami in 2007. She joined the foundation in 2009 and currently teaches at Kennedy Park and Margaret Pace Park.
Valentina is the happy mother of a happy 3 year old little yogi named Nicolas!
